Allen Walker is a dead person who was brought back to life
Allen Walker is actually the main character of the entire series. However, as the story progresses, it’s shown that he’s actually dead and he was brought back to life by Allenon, who was an Innocence created to help Allen regain his memory. Therefore, Allen Walker is in fact a dead person who was brought back to life.
Allen’s Innocence can only be used by men
The Innocence that can be used by men are Allen’s Innocence and the Innocence that can be used by women are the Exorcists. The Innocence that can be used by both men and women are called the “hybrid” Innocence, but it’s a very rare occurrence to see one.
So why is it that men can use the Innocence while women can’t? Well, it’s because the Innocence was created by the Millennium Earl, who created the Akuma to have humans and Akuma live together peacefully. So naturally, the Earl wanted men to have Innocences and women to have Exorcists. However, the Earl’s plan didn’t go as he planned, since humans and Akuma couldn’t coexist peacefully and the Millennium Earl was killed. So now, the Millennium Earl’s plan is backfiring on him and he’s the one trying to bring back his master.
There’s a special ending for each main character
In each episode, there is a special ending for each of the main characters. Allen’s ending shows how he’s living his life with his friends and family, including a possible wedding between Allen and Mana.
Allen’s friends include his best friend, Len, his younger sister, Lil, and his childhood friend, Lavi. Allen also has his guardian, Roland and his partner, Sigmund. Allen’s family includes his father, Jacob, and his mother, Naomi.

There are no female Exorcists in D.Gray-man
There are male Exorcists and female Exorcists, but there are no female Exorcists who are the main characters in the series.
